We offer a range of services tailored to your needs. These are based on the assumption that you want massage therapy for relaxation, or have regular pain or discomfort that is not directly linked to a recent injury or subject to ongoing medical treatment – email or call to discuss massage as part of recovery from injury, therapy for disability, or if you would like to combine techniques.

2 hour deep tissue full body massage

This two hour session allows the therapist to work on interconnected areas to ensure free movement and reduced discomfort overall, in cases where you’ve ignored deep pain, reduced movement or discomfort for an extended duration.
Before your massage
We recommend taking a shower before dropping in or attending an appointment – you, and your therapist, will feel more comfortable. For a full spa experience we may recommend some products to use beforehand if you live locally – we’re still setting up and are looking for local producers to offer as part of spa treatment packages.
It’s also important to drink water and remain hydrated, particularly when undergoing any sort of physical therapy.
If you have any areas of damaged skin or historic injury, fixation (screws, pins or metalwork in joints) or are recovering from surgery, please consult your medical professional before booking massage therapy – and inform your therapist of any advice given.
After your massage
If you have undergone the more intense deep tissue therapy you may have some bruising and discomfort, particularly if you were particularly tense and knotted. We recommend a minimum two week interval between such treatments, but most customers find a monthly session is effective in keeping the body flexible and free of pain. Gentler techniques aimed at relaxation and overcoming daily stress can be repeated more often.
Some massage techniques can aid the body in expelling toxins. Drinking water, natural fruit juice, or non-caffeinated teas can help with this. Coffee, sugary/caffeinated soda and energy drinks, and black teas are less effective.
For customers who have driven to Alfreton for their treatment, taking one of the routes to the A38 rather than driving through the crossroads and the centre of town can also prove effective in reducing stress. We can’t offer anything to make the M1 more tolerable, unfortunately.
